The Stables is such a charming cottage, with a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The 2 bedrooms were lovely, and the whole place had a rustic vibe that I absolutely adored. The bathroom had a shower which was really convenient.

Personally, I would have liked to have an extra bathroom in the cottage.

On arrival, the cottage was a bit cold and it took us a while to figure out the heating. Dirty wine glasses and a precarious oven door were also a downside.

The property was comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower was good, and the wifi worked well. Parking was hassle-free. We also loved the proximity to shops and restaurants in Melrose, which were within walking distance. a delightful and convenient place to stay.
